Privacy Policy — Fitness Options

This Privacy Policy applies to the Fitness Options mobile application (referred to as “Application”) available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store, developed by KwebaTechHub (referred to as “Service Provider”). The Application is a gym management platform providing attendance tracking, subscription management, and facility access control services.
Information We Collect
When you download and use the Application, we may collect the following:
- Full name, email address, phone number, and profile photo (during registration)
- Gym membership details, subscription plan, and payment history
- Check-in and check-out attendance records
- Device Internet Protocol (IP) address and operating system
- Time and duration of Application usage
- Device identifiers (where permitted by the platform)
Location Data
The Application collects your device’s precise location to power the following core features:
- Geofence-Based Attendance: The Application detects when you enter or exit the gym’s defined geographical boundary to automatically record attendance check-ins and check-outs.
- Gym Access Verification: Location data confirms that members and staff are physically present within the gym premises before granting access or recording a session.
- Background Location: The Application may access location in the background solely to maintain geofence detection during an active gym session. This data is not used for tracking outside of gym-related activity.
- Android users may manage location permissions via Settings → Apps → Fitness Options → Permissions → Location.
- iOS users may manage location permissions via Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Fitness Options.
Location data is never sold to third parties and is only used as described above.
Payment Information
The Application integrates Paystack for processing subscription payments and wallet top-ups. Payment card details are handled entirely by Paystack and are never stored on the Service Provider’s servers. Please refer to Paystack’s Privacy Policy for details.
Third-Party Services
The Application uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policies:
Google Play Services (Android)
Apple App Store / StoreKit (iOS)
Only aggregated, anonymized data is shared with these services to help improve Application performance. The Service Provider does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to process your personal data.
Data Disclosure
The Service Provider may disclose your information only:
As required by law or in response to a valid legal process
To protect the rights, safety, or property of the Service Provider, its users, or the public
With trusted service providers operating under confidentiality obligations on behalf of the Service Provider
Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained for as long as your gym membership or account remains active, and for a reasonable period thereafter. You have the following options to delete your personal data:
- In-App Deletion: Navigate to Profile → Personal Information → Close Account within the Application to permanently delete your account and associated data
- Contact Us: Send a deletion request to support@kwebatechhub.com and we will respond within 7 business days
Deletion requests will result in the permanent removal of your account, attendance history, and personal information from our servers.
Children’s Policy
The Application is intended for users 18 years and older. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Apple’s App Store Guidelines, if we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will immediately delete it from our servers. Please contact us at support@kwebatechhub.com if you believe a minor has created an account.
Security
The Service Provider implements physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information, including Firebase Authentication, encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), and secure cloud storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Your Rights & Opt-Out
You may:
Delete your account and personal data directly within the Application via Profile → Personal Information → Close Account
Stop all data collection by uninstalling the Application from your Android or iOS device
Contact your gym administrator to deactivate your membership account
Reach out to us directly for any data access, correction, or deletion requests
iOS users may also use Apple’s native App Privacy Report (iOS 15.2+) to monitor data access by the Application.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Application constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
